Why you can recommend OurTurn

🧭

Practical, not clinical

The calm steps for hard moments draw on approaches used by dementia-care professionals, like DICE and validation. OurTurn is a wellness product, not a medical device: it does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Shares the load

One plan the family can see and change, short notes and photos sent to the person’s clock, and calm steps any family member can open in a hard moment.

🔒

Privacy first

Data is stored in the EU (Ireland), encrypted in transit and at rest. Families can export or delete everything, and nothing is sold. The person decides on their own phone whether to share their location.

How it works for families

1

Caregiver signs up

A family member creates a free account and notes what calms their loved one, what upsets them and how they communicate best.

2

Plan the day

Start from a gentle ready-made day or an empty one. Medicine reminders are entered by the family, using the instructions they already have from a healthcare professional.

3

The day appears on their clock

The person sees their day on OurTurn: My Day, on a phone or tablet. The family connects it with a Care Code and approves the device.
